The Lower Plunger Vario is a current collector for the lower electrode in the PAT-Core. Once inserted into the insulating sleeve, it can move freely up or down, thereby ensuring reliable contact with the lower electrode, even if the thickness of this electrode and/or the separator used is changed. The Lower Plunger Vario can therefore seamlessly accommodate all cell stack heights between Height Numbers 50 and 500.
